Hands & Voices is proud to launch a newly revamped website for the Enhancement of Deaf Education!! Deafed.net is proud to be the place to post Job Opportunities and Resumes related solely to the field of Deaf Education.
Since 2003 Deafed.net has been a place where Deaf educators and those that wish to work in the field of deaf education and related fields can connect using our database of job postings and resumes. We welcome you to the new up-to-date version of DeafEd.net. If you are a previous patron of the job/resume posting platform, we thank you for past support and hope you will entrust us with your business going forward. The database and website platform have been completely rebuilt and should provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience. We hope you enjoy it and welcome any feedback you may have.
Since 2008 DeafEd.net has been entrusted to Hands & Voices to keep it going and remain relevant to Deaf Education. Hands & Voices is a parent-led not for profit organization with the mission of supporting families with children who are deaf and hard of hearing (D/HH) without a bias around communication modes or methodology so children can reach their highest potential. One important way to accomplish this is by ensuring D/HH students have access to educational professionals who are highly trained to meet the unique needs of D/HH children. But finding these professionals can be challenging. DeafEd.net is a platform designed to bring together program administrators serving D/HH students and professionals looking for positions, so they can post job openings and resumes, find each other, and get to the business of helping our D/HH students. Other important information you may have been accustomed to seeing on the old site, like the Observe, Understand and Respond (OUR) Project, is still available on the Hands & Voices website. This will undergo a revitalization as well. And we are committed to maintaining the list of deaf education teacher preparation programs. (Find this on the navigation tab above.) And we plan to add more content over time. We are so very grateful to Dr. Harold Johnson, founder of DeafEd.net, for his vision and continued passion for the betterment of the Deaf Education field and the success of every D/HH student. We are forever grateful. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are so glad you are here! Candace Lindow-Davies Project Manager & Director of Outreach for Hands & Voices HQ
